D-PREP high school students recently welcomed university representatives from KIC UnivAssist, who visited our D-PREP Secondary campus to introduce students to a range of international study opportunities. Representatives from universities in the United States and Hong Kong attended the visit, giving students the chance to learn directly from admissions teams.
Participating universities included:
- Long Island University
- University of Houston
- University of Oklahoma
- University of the Pacific
- The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
The session was structured as a representative panel, where the admissions teams addressed the most commonly asked questions from prospective students. Representatives shared what makes their universities unique, the academic programs available, and guidance on scholarship opportunities for international students. They also walked students through practical steps for applying, including entrance exams, portfolio requirements, and key admission criteria. Students then had the opportunity to ask their own questions during a live Q&A with the panel.
After the presentation, students moved to the library, where each university had set up an information booth. Students could speak directly with representatives, explore program materials, and learn more about campus life and study opportunities at each institution.
Events like this play an important role in helping students explore their options and think more clearly about life after high school. This is especially meaningful for D-PREP as the school prepares for its first graduating class in the coming years. By connecting students with universities and giving them space to ask questions and explore possibilities, experiences like this help students feel more informed, confident, and prepared as they begin planning their next steps.
D-PREP would also like to extend a sincere thank you to KIC UnivAssist and our College Counseling Team for organizing and supporting this experience. Through their collaboration, students gained meaningful insights into university pathways, application expectations, and scholarship opportunities, helping them choose universities that best fit their interests and goals, and preparing them to step confidently into higher education, both locally and around the world!
